Il prossimo 17 febbraio, Jim Matheos, il chitarrista dei Fates Warning, rilascerà, via Burning Shed, un disco sperimentale per sola chitarra, intitolato “Halo Effect”. Di seguito il commento del chitarrista e i dettagli dell’album.
Questo è un album per chitarra. Non ci sono tastiere o effetti su questo disco. Tutti i suoni sono stati creati con una chitarra acustica (per chi è interessato a queste cose, una Alvarez classica del 1973 con corde molto vecchie) che è stata processata digitalmente su vari livelli, a volte in modo mimale, altre volte in modo che il suono originale diventi irriconoscibile. Per creare ogni pezzo, più tracce sono state improvvisate separatamente, senza scegliere una chiave o un tempo. Le varie idee sono state poi modificate e combinate su più livelli per formare queste canzoni. Spero che vi piacciano.
