Video footage of SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS performing at this year’s Rock On The Range festival, which was held May 15-17 at MAPFRE Stadium (formerly Crew Stadium) in Columbus, Ohio, can be seen below.

Weiland blamed the poor deliver of the STONE TEMPLE PILOTS classic “Vasoline” at a show in Texas last month on faulty equipment, saying his ear monitors weren’t working, and denying drugs as the cause.

In a rambling interview with WXNR 99.5, he said: “We had one bad show, there were no in-ears, no ear monitors, and it was quite a bummer because I couldn’t hear myself at all but all [the other] shows have been amazing.”

Discussing the coverage he’s received in the media recently, Weiland said: “Unfortunately, that’s the way it is with…, you know, the media these days. They like to talk stuff without really knowing what’s going on. You know, I’ve been off drugs for 13 years and to hear people make references to that is very disheartening.”

A rep for Scott Weiland issued a statement explaining that he was tired and had had a couple of drinks before the show, in addition to his earpiece audio issues.

SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS are touring in promotion of their album, “Blaster”, which was released on March 31.
