The Cradle Of Filth coven has checked in with a brief overview of their weekend show at the Summer Breeze festival in Dinkelsbühl, Germany:
“Hellish reprobates Cradle Of Filth had a wickedly brilliant time playing the Summer Breeze Metal Fest in Bavaria, Germany on Friday night, despite going on at 1:30am due to earlier electrical storms raging over the festival site.
Pictured here with our awesome fire breathers/dancers backstage after the set, the Czech mates Marthus and Ashok are noticeable by their absence, due to the fact that they literally had to be whisked away by shuttle to the airport straight after the show in order that they make their flight back home, stage outfits and make-up still present.
That said, the journey out was already fraught with near-disaster, as the band and Crewdle coming from the UK (Dani was already on site for Devilment’s performance late Wednesday night) had their flight cancelled due to, quite possibly, the same storm. Put up fortuitously at the Hilton, they arrived the day of the show as opposed to the night before.
Still, all’s Hell that ends well, and the lengthy signing and show went brilliantly, and the band got to hang out with the likes of Nightwish, Opeth, Sepultura, Trivium, Suicide Silence, Bloodbath and Rectal Smegma (?!) back in the artist’s digs, where catering was truly superb, the forest hugged the dressing rooms and some bands hugged the toilets.
So thank you Summer Breeze festival for a truly brilliant few days ending our festival run in Bavaria, and we apologise for bringing the rain, even if it did clear the humidity away for a while. The rest of the week was absolutely f**king boiling!”
On August 1st Cradle Of Filth performed at the Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany. The band’s complete show, filmed by the Arte network, can be viewed below.
The setlist was as follows:
“At The Gates Of Midian”
“Cthullu Dawn”
“A Dream Of Wolves In The Snow”
“Summer Dying Fast”
“Honey And Sulphur”
“Funeral In Carpathia”
“Right Wing Of The Garden Triptych”
“Nymphetamine (Fix)”
“Born In A Burial Gown”
“Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids”
“Her Ghost In The Fog”
“From The Cradle To Enslave”
Cradle Of Filth have announced their Inquisitional Torture tour dates for October / November 2015. Frontman Dani Filth checked in with the following update: “Cradle Of Filth are extremely pleased to be hitting the European road in support of our latest album, Hammer Of The Witches, even more so now that British dates have been indelibly grafted onto the beginning! The band is sounding better than ever and are exhilarated to be starting our world tour here in England, at Rottingham Knock City nonetheless, the proverbial hub of heavy metal!
We have an amazing setlist prepared already and everyone, including our infamous Crewdle Of Filth, are chomping at the bit to get out there and start levelling cities with our unique brand of raucous, Hellish music and stage production.
