According to The Pulse Of Radio, NICKELBACK frontman Chad Kroeger‘s estranged wife Avril Lavigne has slammed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for promoting bullying — although it seems she has really taken issue with Zuckerberg making fun of Kroeger‘s band. In a recent video demonstration for Zuckerberg‘s new artificial intelligence device called Jarvis, Zuckerberg asks the house-controlling device: “Play us some good NICKELBACK songs.” Jarvis replies: “I’m sorry, Mark, I’m afraid I can’t do that… There are no good NICKELBACK songs.” Mark remarks: “Good. That was actually a test.”

While NICKELBACK has not issued any comment on this latest slam against the group — who are popular targets for this kind of thing — Lavigne addressed the head of Facebook via social media, saying: “You’re allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at NICKELBACK is in poor taste. When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today. #SayNoToBullying #TheJokeIsOld #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums.”

Kroeger has told The Pulse Of Radio in the past that he’s welcomed the abuse. “I think it’s hilarious,” he said. “All these critics, they’re just tireless. They keep ragging on the band. If they had stopped writing all this stuff about us, there would be no controversy left in the band and we probably would have died out years ago. They don’t know that they’re still responsible for us being [laughs] around today.”

This latest incident follows one last month in which Canadian police warned drivers that they would be subjected to listening to NICKELBACK in police squad cars if they were arrested for being drunk behind the wheel.

In that case, a representative for the band contacted the Kensington Police Service on Canada’s Prince Edward Island and demanded that they take down the post, noting that the band was not amused. The officer who created the post later apologized.

Lavigne, 32, split from Kroeger, 42, in September 2015 after two years of marriage, but the pair remain friendly, even spending Valentine’s Day 2016 together and reuniting in the recording studio in March to work on new music.

After a year of coding, here’s Jarvis.
