AC/DC is in the thrust of their Rock Or Bust world tour, but the party will be taken down a notch on December 15th. New Zealand news website Stuff is reporting that the Waitemata Local Board voted unanimously in support of a temporary liquor ban at their board meeting earlier today (November 10th) for the band’s show in Auckland at Western Springs Stadium on December 15th. The ban will operate for 24 hours from 6am on December 15th in the surrounding area. Consumption or possession of alcohol is prohibited during the specified times and anyone caught will be issued with a $250 fine.
On November 3rd, AC/DC kicked off their Australian tour in Sydney, the band’s first concert at home in five years at ANZ Stadium. According to The Australian, it was a show as dramatic as their music including scantily clad women, red devil horns and the reddest devil of them all – axe maestro Angus Young.
“Tonight together we’re going to make some rock `n’ roll and the party starts right here,” Johnson told the crowd.
