AC/DC - Phil Rudd’s Court Case Appearance Delayed To April

According to Stuff.co.nz, AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd’s next court appearance has been adjourned because of a change in lawyers.

Rudd, 60, was due to appear in the Tauranga District Court next week after last year pleading not guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis and threatening to kill.

Paul Mabey, QC, says he has withdrawn as Rudd’s counsel. Rudd’s new lawyer is Craig Tuck, also of Tauranga. Rudd will reappear in court in April.

Now, the question is, will Rudd be part of AC/DC’s performance at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles? “Music’s Biggest Night” will be broadcast live in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, February 8th from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). It has been widely rumoured that former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade, who performed with the band from 1989 to 1994, including their multi-platinum 1990 album, The Razors Edge, will be filling in for Phil Rudd for the Grammy show, but nothing has been confirmed by the band.

As reported earlier, AC/DC needs 150 fans in the Los Angeles area for a Rock Or Bust music video shoot on February 10th. For a chance to be selected to appear in the video, enter at this location.
