Molto promettenti questi giovani di Cleveland, Ohio. Ho avuto il piacere di conoscere il bassista e vocalist di persona, che mi assicura che questo demo altro non è che l’esordio embrionale di una produzione più complessa e articolata a cui stanno ancora lavorando. Calda la voce e aggressiva al punto giusto. Un ragazzo che non sopporta la banalità dell’America, che si ribella al materialismo imperante, alla mediocrità e alla mercificazione del sesso. Questa la mente degli Alien Frequency, Jason Sanders. Dal punto di vista stilistico certo, le frequenze aliene devono ancora crescere: come testi (troppe rime) e composizione, ancora piuttosto semplice e ripetitiva. Però le basi per un buon metal/rap core ci sono, l’orecchiabilità induce l’ascoltatore a voler risentire più e più volte i pezzi, e la grinta non manca. Buona anche la produzione. Pezzo più significativo a mio avviso Educated Decimated. Infatti qui inizia a trapelare una maggiore personalità musicale dei quattro. Horror Show è invece un eccellente esempio di rap, ma l’ambizione del gruppo dovrebbe essere più metal-oriented. Buona infine la cover dei Rolling Stones, Paint It Black, che nonostante sia un pezzo stranoto, qui risulta fresca e ben interpretata. Invito a visitare il loro myspace, in attesa di imminenti nuove produzioni.
