Belgium/Netherlands metal act Ancient Rites will release their new studio album, Laguz, on February 20th via Massacre Records.
The band was one of the first groups in the ‘80s to play metal with occult and historically inspired lyrics when the music scene back then was dominated by glam and alternative music. Several severe blows of fate didn’t stop the band from doing what they love and the release of the upcoming sixth album will mark a new chapter in Ancient Rites’ history.
The album was produced by Christian “Moschus” Moos and mastered by Eroc. Oliver Phillips is responsible for the orchestration. The band’s vocalist, Gunther Theys, created the album artwork. The album will also be available as limited edition digipak with a bonus video clip.
