“Start To Break”, a brand new song from reactivated Southern California metallers ATREYU, can be streamed at AltPress.com. The track is taken from the band’s comeback album, “Long Live” , which will be released on September 18 through the Search And Destroy imprint as part of the newly announced joint venture between Raw Power Management and Spinefarm.
Of the song, ATREYU frontman Alex Varkatzas said: “Life can get to you. This world is so fast-paced, and in trying to keep up with it, we lose part of ourselves. This song is about fighting through those negative emotions and embracing the challenge.”
ATREYU will hit the road this fall on a headline tour in support of “Long Live”. The band has played a handful of packed shows since reforming in late 2014. This is the first full ATREYU run in several years, which means fans are in for a real mosh-worthy treat. BEARTOOTH will provide main support on select dates of the tour.
Pre-orders for “Long Live” include a variety of lifestyle items, many of which reflect the interests of the band members themselves. These items include a bike, a surfboard, a skate deck, a Dan Jacobs guitar, a studio-used drumhead, canvas prints, and muay thai gloves.
The “Long Live” clip was directed by ATREYU bassist Porter McKnight.
