Droid materialized in the year 2012 when three space cadets collided into each other while mutually scouring the suburban cosmos for other likeminded musicians. There sound is a carefully cultivated blend of sounds from the strange outposts of thrash, a’ la Mekong Delta and DBC, mixed with the solar soundscapes of Hawkwind.
After a demo released in 2013, they played sporadic shows across Southern Ontario and Quebec, sharing the stage with the likes of Angel Witch, Piledriver and Venom Inc. (to name a few).
At the end of 2015 their first EP Disconnected was been released on vinyl format through Hard and Heavy Records, Now, in the early months of 2016, Nightbreaker Productions will release the CD version with a totally remixed and remastered sound
