FOO FIGHTERSfrontman Dave Grohl is a singer, guitarist, drummer, songwriter, producer, director, husband and father — and now he can add “good luck charm” to his list of accomplishments. According to The Pulse Of Radio, that’s just how the British band THE CRIBS described Grohl in a new interview with NME, during which they recalled meeting up with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer last October while recording their new album.

THE CRIBS bassist Gary Jarman explained, “We left to go get pizza and within three minutes we returned with Dave Grohl. We played with him in Ireland and he was like, ‘THE CRIBS? I love you guys!’ We thought it was a really good omen for the first day of the record — it was just like a rabbit’s foot or something.”

Grohl‘s bandmate, FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins, told The Pulse Of Radio not long ago that Grohl remains approachable and down to earth despite his success. “He’s definitely not a rock star in any way, shape or form, you know,” he said. “He doesn’t have that…so much sense of entitlement with so many guys out there that I see. Just, like, playing festivals and stuff, you see some of these people and you’re like, ‘Dude, you’re just a fucking musician.’ And most of the time people who act like that aren’t even good ones.”

THE CRIBS didn’t get Grohl to appear on their upcoming album, “For All My Sisters”, but they did snap a photo in the studio with him and their producer, Ric Ocasek.

Grohl and the FOO FIGHTERS, meanwhile, are touring behind their eighth studio effort, “Sonic Highways”, which came out in November and was accompanied by an eight-part documentary series on HBO that premiered in October.

FOO FIGHTERS are headed to Australia, New Zealand and Europe over the next few months but will return to North America in the summer to launch a massive headlining tour on July 4 in Washington D.C.
