“Ordinary Days” degli Ethersens purtroppo mi è parso, come suggerisce il titolo, un disco abbastanza ordinario. Questi francesi si cimentano infatti in una specie di prog dalle tinte oscure, che pesca da quanto fatto da band come gli Opeth e i Katatonia, i Nevermore e i Pain Of Salvation, ma aggiunge anche qualcosina del death melodico dei Dark Tranquillity. Il risultato finale è gradevole, ma a mio avviso non eccezionale. Ho ascoltato “Ordinary Days” diverse volte per recensirlo, tuttavia, se non fosse stato per dovere, non avrei mai premuto il tasto “play” per riascoltarlo (la classe degli ispiratori non è purtroppo mai raggiunta), sebbene non l’abbia trovato un brutto lavoro.
Non posso quindi sostenere che questo sia un disco non riuscito, ma alla stessa maniera non mi sento nemmeno di consigliarlo, per cui lo descrivo così: sufficiente, senza infamia e senza lode.
