Former QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate can be your personal chauffeur for a week-long “rock and wine tour” through Germany and France this fall.

Backstage Pass Travel, whose mission is “to bring a different experience of travel,” is offering fans an opportunity to accompany Tate on a road trip, starting on October 20 in Paris, going to Bordeaux to drink in a beautiful chateau, and continuing to a few medieval castles and cities. “Geoff drives 1 van with guests while you relax,” reads a post on the Backstage Pass Travel Facebook page.

A couple of years ago, Tate told AntiHero Magazine that he loves to travel. “I get to meet interesting people and have wonderful conversations with people,” he said. “I get to go to amazing restaurants, and visit historical sites. I am pretty blessed, and I feel very fortunate. I think that I would like to just keep continuing on doing those things for the rest of my life, really.”

In a 2018 interview, Tate told Metal Magnitude that he loves “seeing old friends and seeing what’s going on. It’s cool to go to places over and over again, because you’re not there every day, you come maybe once or twice in a year, and you notice the changes, I think,” he said. “It’s just wonderful looking back at all the memories, all the experiences. It’s countless.”

Tate‘s next release will be the debut album from SWEET OBLIVION, which will arrive on June 14 via Frontiers Music Srl. The project sees Tate teaming up with a stellar cast of Italian musicians led by Simone Mularoni, the mastermind of prog metal masters DGM.

For most of 2018 and the first couple of months of 2019, Tate celebrated the 30th anniversary of QUEENSRŸCHE‘s “Operation: Mindcrime” by playing the iconic concept album live in its entirety.

Tate is currently on on the road with EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet‘s AVANTASIA project, which is touring in support of its latest album, “Moonglow”.
