Former THE HAUNTED frontman Peter Dolving has joined forces with ex-FORBIDDEN guitarist Craig Locicero in a new project called DRESS THE DEAD. The group, whose lineup is rounded out by Mark Hernandez on drums, James Walker on bass and Dan Delay on guitar, has revealed its mission statement: “We intend on making heads bang, bodies move and bones shake.”

DRESS THE DEAD is:

* Peter Dolving (IAMFIRE, THE HAUNTED, MARY BEATS JANE) – Vocals
* Craig Locicero (FORBIDDEN, SPIRALARMS, MANMADE GOD) – Guitar
* Mark Hernandez (FORBIDDEN, VIO-LENCE, RE:IGNITION) – Drums
* James Walker (MANMADE GOD, ORION) – Bass
* Dan Delay (DRAWING HEAVEN) – Guitar

Previously a vocalist for MARY BEATS JANE, Dolving joined THE HAUNTED in 1997 and sang in their debut self-titled album. In 1998, he left the group to concentrate on a band called ZEN-MONKEY but returned in 2003 following the departure of Marco Aro (the vocalist which took over Dolving‘s spot after Peter‘s 1998 exit). He has since appeared on the studio albums “Revolver” (2004), “The Dead Eye” (2006), “Versus” (2008) and “Unseen” (2011).

Dolving left THE HAUNTED again in February 2012, explaining in a statement that he “had fucking had it with dysfunctional bullshit.” He has since been replaced by a returning Marco Aro.

FORBIDDEN‘s last album, “Omega Wave”, was released in October 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD landed at position No. 27 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Locicero spent the last few years focusing all his attention on SPIRALARMS, the San Francisco Bay Area-based heavy rock band also featuring Tim Narducci (ex-SYSTEMATIC) on vocals, Chris “Cornbread” Lombardo on bass, Brad Barth on keyboards, Anthony Traslavina on rhythm guitar and Ron Redeen (THE ESSENESS PROJECT) on drums.
