Hookers & Blow, the band led by Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed and Quiet Riot guitarist Alex Grossi, have announced that they will be returning to Las Vegas on April 17th at Count’s Vamp’d, and to Hollywood at the world famous Whisky A Go Go on May 16th.
“These are going to be THE LAST Hookers & Blow shows for a while”, says Alex Grossi. “We are all gearing up for pretty extensive summer tours with our main gigs, but we wanted to come back and hit L.A. and Vegas one more time before we take off. The 10th anniversary shows we did back in September out here and the two East Coast runs we did with Don Jamieson and Johnny Kelly last year went over so well, we had to squeeze a couple more in… Look for more US dates down the road with Don when things wind down.”
Rounding out the spring 2015 Hookers & Blow lineup will be W.A.S.P./Hotel Diablo bassist Mike Duda and Ace Frehley/Mr. Big drummer Matt Starr – along with an array of surprise guests.
Back in January, Hookers & Blow (along with Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kellly) performed at The Rockpile West in Toronto, Ontario. Amateur footage of the quartet rocking out “Pretty Tied Up” from GN’R’s Use Your Illusion II can be seen below.
