This Wednesday, August 17th, marks the official SiriusXM’s Hair Nation Festival Battle of the Bands. The event will take place at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go (8901 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA) and will feature performances from eight unsigned bands hoping to win an opening slot for one of the stages at SiriusXM’s Hair Nation Festival next month. The grand prize winner will open the main stage and the runner up will open the second stage.
Judges for the event include Eddie Trunk, Lita Ford, Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Brent Woods (guitarist for Sebastian Bach), and Jay Ruston (producer/engineer for artists such as Anthrax, Steel Panther, Stone Sour, and The Winery Dogs). Doors are at 7:00 pm, with the event wrapping up at 11:30 pm. The lineup is as follows:

SiriusXM’s Hair Nation Festival is less than a month away, hitting Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Southern California on September 17th. Rock fans from around the globe are invited to re-live the filth of the Sunset Strip for one night only at the SiriusXM Hair Nation Festival. The event will be hosted by Eddie Trunk, and the music lineup features: Vince Neil, Bret Michaels, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kix, Slaughter, Lita Ford, Vixen, Britny Fox, BulletBoys, Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns’ Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns, Loudness, Junkyard, Vain, Tuff, Bang Tango, Pretty Boy Floyd, Odin, Gabbie Rae, and Circus Of Power.
SiriusXM will broadcast performances, as well as backstage interviews with artists, from SiriusXM’s Hair Nation Festival on SiriusXM’s Hair Nation channel, via satellite on channel 39 and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. The broadcast will air the weekend of September 24th.
