LYRAKA Composer Andy DiGelsomina Offering Composition / Songwriting Lessons

Andy DiGelsomina, composer and lead guitarist for the Wagnerian Opera Metal project Lyraka, is now offering composition and songwriting lessons.

According to the composer-guitarist, whom was referred to as a “great songwriter” and whose music was labelled potentially “…the next Led Zeppelin” by world famous heavy metal author Martin Popoff: “There are so many guitarists (and other musicians) today whom are all about technique and studio tricks, yet seemingly couldn’t write a good song if their lives depended on it. Being a good songwriter and composer puts you far out in front of the boring shred obsessives in terms of big picture notability, and opens the door for you to work with more accomplished musicians. These classes will be enlightening for those wishing instruction on operatic and classic, heavy Rock/Metal and other genres, but the emphasis isn’t placed on genre but the individual expression of the composer and bringing his or her vision to fruition. Being that the courses will be customized entirely toward the individual composer’s wants, there will be no written acumen, the acumen itself will form as lessons progress and I learn more specifically what the student is striving toward.”

Andy’s credentials include working with many reknown names in the heavy rock, progressive, neoclassical, and extreme and traditional metal genres, including Mark Boals (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen), Graham Bonnet (ex-Rainbow, Alcatrazz), Robert Lowe (ex-Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus), Al Atkins (original Judas Priest singer), Kevin Talley (Suffocation, ex-Dying Fetus) and many others.

More information and rates can be discussed by leaving Andy a message here.

Andy emphasizes that any inquiries be serious and to:

a) have samples (yours and/or others) of the music you’re interested
b) have a coherent, fully formed idea of what you want to do before you write.

In similar news, Lyraka Volume 2 is currently being mixed and co-produced by Andre Maquera (8084), and is slated for a summer 2015 release.
