Veteran U.S. death metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION have completed recording their 13th album, “The 13th Beast”. The effort is tentatively due in early 2019 via Hammerheart Records.
MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s founding guitarist Philip Fasciana said: “Get ready!!! New MALEVOLENT CREATION album ‘The 13th Beast’ is ready to be mixed and mastered and ready for all to hear! Very proud of everyone involved and how heavy this album came out. I couldn’t be more proud of my band members and the music we recorded for all of you to hear!”
“The 13th Beast” features the band’s current lineup, consisting of Fasciana alongside new additions Lee Wollenschlaeger (vocals, guitar), Phil Cancilla (drums) and Josh L. Gibbs (bass).
Fasciana stated about MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s latest incarnation: “After receiving so many great videos and songs from singers wanting to take over the vocal position after the departure of original vocalist Bret Hoffman, I finally have found the right man for the job.
“I received a few songs from Lee Wollenschlaeger and his solo project IMPERIAL EMPIRE and was so impressed that after a lot of conversations and hearing his own compositions and demos of him singing MALEVOLENT CREATION songs, I could not deny his talent… He is also playing guitar in the band, which makes us now a four-piece.”
MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s new lineup:
Phil Fasciana – Guitar
Lee Wollenschlaeger – Vocals/Guitar
Phil Cancilla – Drums
Josh L. Gibbs – Bass
Hammerheart will gradually reissue all MALEVOLENT CREATION albums on LP, deluxe 2-CD, MC and as merchandise. This includes MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s first three albums for Roadrunner, the LPs for Pavement/Artic and all records released in the 21st century.
Hammerheart owner Guido Heijnens is also the manager for MALEVOLENT CREATION. All worldwide bookings are now taken care of by Eternal Rock.
MALEVOLENT CREATION‘s last album, “Dead Man’s Path”, was released in 2015 via Century Media.
