LiveFinland, the ultimate website for live music in Finland, now offers a brilliant way to make virtual visits to Finnish festivals. Panoramic 360 degree images take the traveller right into the middle of the event, close-up to the band and the festival audience.
Check out the gallery from the Qstock Festival 2014 in Oulu, and enjoy a 360 degree experience of Megadeth, Soilwork, Volbeat, and famous Finnish rock and metal performers like Michael Monroe, The 69 Eyes and Stam1na.
Previously, festival photographers concentrated on capturing artists and bands while playing. Nowadays, the ever-growing selfie culture has made pictures of festival audiences increasingly popular.
“We are excited to see our users’ reactions. Now they can actually feel the atmosphere of a Finnish festival on their computers and mobile-device displays, just as if they were in the middle of the real event themselves,” says LiveFinland’s producer Olga Bloch. “In the future, LiveFinland will be introducing more Finnish festivals in 360 degree panoramas.”
The Qstock 360 panoramic pictures were taken by Teppo Kangas, a Finnish photographer specialized in shooting panoramic photos and videos. These 360 degree images can be viewed on a computer, tablet device or smartphone, and you can zoom in on even the smallest detail.
