A brand new DISTURBED song, “The Vengeful One”, can be streamed below. The song is taken from the band’s new album, “Immortalized”, which will be released on August 21.

Says DISTURBED: “The hiatus is over. Over the past year, we’ve been secretly writing and recording a brand new album. Today, we are excited to share a new song called ‘The Vengeful One’ along with a new music video. It’s off our upcoming album called ‘Immortalized’, which will be released on August 21, and is available for pre-order today. This album had the arduous task of, in some way, justifying the hiatus; giving the fans something that made it worth our time away from one another. We hope that it succeeds in that task. Thank you for staying with us over the years.”

DISTURBED has been on hiatus since the fall of 2011, after completing the touring cycle for its last studio effort, “Asylum”, and issuing a rarities collection called “The Lost Children”.

Guitarist Dan Donegan told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he doubted the break would ever become permanent. “We all know that in the business world, they would prefer that we keep rolling with DISTURBED, and a lot of fans would like that too, and you know what? That will probably happen,” he said. “We’ll probably come back because DISTURBED is still our baby. It’s everything we wanted, it’s everything we built, and nobody’s ever talked about not wanting to ever do Disturbed again.”

During the hiatus, singer David Draiman launched a new band called DEVICE, while Donegan and drummer Mike Wengren premiered a new project called FIGHT OR FLIGHT.

Rumors have circulated since April that DISTURBED could be coming back this year, with BLABBERMOUTH.NET reporting on April 22 that the band was allegedly recording a new album in Las Vegas.
