PIERCE THE VEIL‘s music video for the song “Circles” can be seen below. The clip was directed by Drew Russ who helmed the band’s 2012 “King For A Day” video that has accumulated more than 70 million YouTube views. The video’s concept is loosely based on the 1991 feature film “Nothing But Trouble” that was directed and written by Dan Aykroyd and starred Chevy Chase, John Candy and Aykroyd. PTV is on tour, on the road, their bus pulls up to their hotel for the night, and the second thoughts about this hotel start immediately. The hotel’s bar serves drinks laced with snakes, bugs, eyeballs, and other animal parts, the hotel rooms are decorated in “crazy” — rooms full of mirrors. rooms full of rotting food, rooms full of skeletons and mystery stains. San Francisco morning radio host and former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield plays a featured role as an obsessed and very creepy old man.
“Circles”, currently a Top 40 track at alternative radio, a is taken from the band’s long-awaited and critically-acclaimed new album, “Misadventures”, that debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. PIERCE THE VEIL, nominated for “Bandom of the Year,” performed the track on last night’s broadcast of MTV‘s Fandom Awards. The band recently completed the sold-out U.S. “Misadventures Tour” and just announced the “Made to Destroy Tour”, presented by Journeys, a seven-week North American trek that kicks off on September 3. The band also recently announced a UK tour to follow this winter.
