Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep last night (December 3rd) while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts.
His last show was billed as Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts on December 1st at Adelaide Music Hall, Toronto, ON. Fan-filmed video from the performance can be seen below:
Various reports indicate that Weiland’s manager discovered the singer’s lifeless body on his tour bus on December 3rd in Bloomington, Minnesota. Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts were scheduled to play The Medina Ballroom that night; the show never happened. A cause of death has not yet been determined.
