Ukraine’s THE NIETZCHE To Release Debut EP In September

Ukrainian mathcore quartet The Nietzsche has announced the release of their debut EP, Intro To Advanced Poetry, due out September 1 via a self-release.

Intro To Advanced Poetry combines erratic mathcore stylings and blistering hardcore aggression in an unrelenting 13-minute assault. These five chaotic and eccentric tracks showcase a band who can meld multiple genres together with ease while still maintaining the same intensity from beginning to end.

Mixed and mastered by legendary Ukrainian guitarist Sergey Lubinsky (ex-Тол), Intro to Advanced Poetry is a must-listen for fans of The Chariot, Botch and the like. From the thunderous crawl of “Mayakovsky II”, to the completely unhinged “Oscar Wild”, there is not a point on the record where the listener is not completely enthralled. The band conjures volatile and multifaceted tracks that constantly change in structure throughout. The guitars churn out angular, venomous and driving riffs that range from dissonant chaos to hardcore beatdowns. The rhythm section makes it a point to be just as intense with complex drumming and thick bass lines. These sharply-laced compositions are propelled by vocalist Eugene Tymchyk’s (Septa) range of eccentricities. Intro To Advanced Poetry is unique in that each track focuses on a classic poet and features lyrics derived from one of their works.

Named after philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, The Nietzsche is essentially a supergroup comprised of members from various Ukrainian bands. The Nietzsche is focused on using their music to bring poetry to life. What initially started as different poems from Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky eventually evolved into a broader project that features several different writers, including Edgar Alan Poe, Walt Whitman and more.
