Longtime tour manager Robert “Bob” Dallas, who has worked with GODSMACK, LINKIN PARK, EVANESCENCE, SLAYER, SCORPIONS, MASTODON and EXTREME, among others, passed away on Monday, February 4.
The news of Dallas‘s death was confirmed by his son, Robert, who wrote on Facebook: “I am saddened to say that my Father, Bob Dallas, passed away early Monday morning. He had been sick for the past few years but it was still sudden and unexpected.
“I would like to thank anyone who has been present during his illness, helping out or just lending an ear. The world certainly seems less bright and I will miss his smile, compassion and so much more.
“We are going to have a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 17th in Clearwater, FL with more details will follow. He touched a lot of people and If you are able to attend I would love to hear your Bob stories (everyone has one!).
“I can’t thank everyone enough for their ongoing support and good thoughts during this trying time.”

I’d class our tour manager Bob Dallas as a dear friend. As a dear friend he was a class act who always wielded his considerable powers to ensure that everyone he worked with was taken care of. When I arrived very late after missing the flight to my first ever Furs rehearsal … pic.twitter.com/fyNAxpcFjS
