Metal Wani‘s Carla Morton recently had a chat with Nevermore/Sanctuary frontman Warrel Dane at Hard Rock Cafe in Bucharest, Romania
In the audio interview below, Warrel discusses the 15th anniversary tour of Nevermore’s classic album Dead Heart, In A Dead World, why he considers this a cult heavy metal album, the status of the upcoming Sanctuary album titled Dead Again, which as per Warrel is an “old school thrash metal with a modern touch”, the decision to write faster songs for the upcoming record, and his take on writing a concept album.
He also talks about the upcoming compilation album titled The Inception, consisting of remixed, old Sanctuary demos which haven’t been released till now, his take on fans still expect him to sing higher notes and his upcoming solo album which will be released next year with recording in early October 2016.
He throws light on the future of Nevermore, whether he plans to have Chris Broderick back in the band for new music, his take on replacing Jeff Loomis, possible North American tour and much more.
